This recipe is similar to the Healthy Chocolate Mousse Tarts I posted a month or so but I made this chocolate mousse based on a recipe given to me by Jenny from Living Synergy.  It looked so amazing and delicious so I posted it on Instagram and had an instant response and multiple requests for the recipe so here it is.

1 ripe avocado

3 – 5 tablespoons of raw cacao

3 – 6 dates (you can soak them in water and blend the water & dates to make a paste, or use fresh dates)

raw vanilla

honey/stevia to taste

pinch sea salt

Place all ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth.  You can add cacao and honey to your liking.  I like mine to be quite bitter and rich so I go heavy on the cacao and lighter on the honey.  I have been known to add coconut oil which adds an even richer element to it.  Garnish with frozen berries which cut through the richness of the chocolate.

Tip – try freezing the mousse for a rich and delicious more “ice cream” texture.
