These brownies are too good not to share! One of my beautiful clients brought me one a few weeks ago to try and I just HAD to make them for myself! The original recipe is from a blog called binnyliu.com and I’ve adapted it to suit my tastes/needs. I sometimes suffer if I eat too many almonds so I used an ABC nut mix that is a combination of almond, brazil and cashew. The end result is rich, fudgey, delicious and decadent! I took it to a family dinner and it was a hit!
Ingredients
1.5 cups of nut butter (I used ABC, you can make your own almond butter here too)
2 cups of raw cacao
1.5 cups of fresh dates
2 tsp maca or lucuma
1/2 tsp cinnamon
pinch sea salt
Blend all ingredients except the nut butter in a food processor until combined. Transfer to a bowl and fold through the nut butter, the crunchier it is, the nuttier the consistency.
Pour the mix into a cake or slice tin lined with baking paper and refrigerate for 4-5 hours.
Cut into desired size slices.
