Healthy Easter Alternatives

As Easter is almost here, I thought I’d share a few healthy chocolate recipes to get you through.  Next to Christmas, Easter is one of the most dietarily challenging times of the year.  Not only is there lots of socialising which equals eating outside of our ideal norm but there’s also the double whammy of endless chocolate Easter Eggs AND Hot Cross Buns!!!

Those of you that have heard me speak, followed my socials, or coached with me would know that I’m not a fan of conventional chocolate, and Easter Eggs are no exception.  Most processed chocolate is well over 60% sugar and also filled with other nasty ingredients. For instance, everyone’s favourite egg, Humpty Dumpty contains sugar, wheat/gluten, soy lecithin, vegetable gums, and more…. anyone want some extra inflammation with their serve of Easter fun???

So I thought I’d share some healthier alternatives that you can bake/prepare/buy to enjoy while everyone else eats their toxic chocolate.

Want to make something delicious, sugar, gluten and dairy free?  Click on any of the descriptions below to grab the recipe.

Salted Chocolate Caramel Slices

Raw Chocolate Fudge Brownies

Healthy Chocolate Mousse Tarts

Flourless Salted Chocolate Cake

EVERYTHING Free Chocolate Treats

Chocolate Coconut Squares

Healthy Choc Mint Slice

Can you tell I have a thing for Chocolate?  There are a few more recipes on my blog too if you search around.  I’m not fond of long, drawn-out, fiddly recipes either so they’re all super simple and easy to make and don’t take up hours of your precious Easter time.

If you’re still heading off to the shops before Sunday, be sure to look for the following brands –

The Carob Kitchen Eggs and Bears

Loving Earth

So I hope this helps you to have a somewhat healthier Easter this year.  If you do decide to bake/prep any of my recipes, I’d love you to tag me in to them on social media so I can see your creation.
