Gut & Thyroid Healing Drink

This healing elixir is something I am increasingly recommending to every single client that I see, particularly my female clients. When I first started working with clients, I focussed primarily on the adrenals and looking at ways to nurture the adrenals through food and lifestyle. Lately though, my attention has become a lot more focussed on the gut. Even though I believe that most people need to nurture their poor adrenals, the most powerful way to do that is by nurturing the gut. Without exception, every single health issue has some origin back to the health of the digestive system and more and more research is indicating that our micro biome is one of the most powerful contributors to our overall health.

Poor Thyroid function is something that I typically see in many of my female clients and it’s generally also related to poor digestive health. Low level food intolerances create an overproduction of stress hormones in the body which place extra burden on the adrenals which in turn down regulates thyroid function. Healing the gut is the first step in allowing the stress hormone levels to come down and this potent healing broth provides the perfect balance of ingredients to do just that. Bone broth and gelatine provide all of the constituents required to help to heal the lining of the small intestine, which is often damaged by the consumption of things like gluten, poor quality dairy, coffee, alcohol, antibiotics and other drugs. Coconut oil is rich in medium chain trigylcerides that help to boost metabolic function, provide easily accessible energy as well as provide gut and immune support. Finally good quality sea salt contains trace contains trace elements required for proper adrenal, immune and thyroid function. Combining all these elements into a tasty and healing drink is one of the best ways to nurture your body…enjoy!
